Workplace description: This refurbished in 2010 hotel has fabulous panoramic sea views which blend effortlessly with indulgence and informality. The emphasis is very much on flexibility and informality and the head chef uses fresh seasonal produce to create dishes which are simple and unadulterated yet bursting with flavour.

Key duties as a Housekeeper:

  • Maintaining and cleaning all public areas in the hotel, bar and restaurants.
  • Cleaning all rooms to a high standard ensuring any issues are forwarded to the relevant department.
  • Helping to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction in all areas with the rest of the team.

Key duties as a Head Housekeeper:

  • Carry out daily inspections of all bedrooms and public areas to ensure cleaning standards are acceptable
  • Ensure that all housekeeping procedures are carried out correctly and to the required standard by all housekeeping staff
  • Communicate effectively with all team members so that everyone is aware of team goals
  • Ensure that linen supplies are controlled. Check linen received, return any items that are not acceptable
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and that invoices are sent to the Accounts department

Essential criteria:. You should have at least 6 -12 months experience in a housekeeping & you will have worked within a small 4/5* country house hotel. You must be very hands on as this is a small operation.
