RG Consultancy are working with a fast growing property development company in Alderley Edge who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their medium sized finance team. You with work with and report back to the Management Accountant on a daily basis. This is an exciting time to join the business as they go through a period of growth and will suit someone who is looking for development and progression

The Role

  • To support the finance department in dealing with queries and correspondence on a daily basis e.g solicitors
  • Check payments and post to relevant accounts
  • Input new statements for residential properties
  • Update and maintain the system and changes to call residential clients
  • Produce service charge and ground rent invoices
  • Support preparation of service charge budgets and discuss with property managers
  • Reconcile service charges in a timely manner and ready for audit checks
  • Dealing with insurance claims

The Person

  • Experience working in an accounts or purchase ledger role is essential
  • Strong communication skills verbally and written and confident to speak to professional parties
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • An AAT qualification would be desirable but not essential
  • Experience of Service Charges would be highly desirable
