Formulation ScientistCheshireSalary - Competitive, based on experiencePermanentWe are working exclusively on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical/Biotechnology company to recruit an experienced Formulation Scientist to their team on a Permanent basis. This will be a key hire for the site as they look to expand their team which will coincide with the building of a new laboratory.The Role:As a Formulation Scientist, you'll be responsible for designing and developing innovative pharmaceutical formulations that meet stringent regulatory and quality standards. You'll take charge of formulation projects, from concept to scale-up, ensuring all products are optimised for performance, stability, and manufacturability.Key Responsibilities:• Develop and optimise pharmaceutical formulations for new and existing products.• Conduct pre-formulation studies, excipient compatibility assessments, and stability testing.• Scale up formulations for manufacturing, ensuring seamless transfer from lab to production.• Maintain compliance with GMP, regulatory guidelines, and company SOPs.• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including analytical scientists, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs.• Prepare and review technical documentation, including formulation development reports.• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in pharmaceutical technology.About You:We're looking for a driven professional with:• Proven experience in pharmaceutical formulation development (3+ years preferred).• A degree in pharmacy, chemistry, or a related field (an advanced degree is a plus).• Hands-on experience with a range of dosage forms (oral, topical, parenteral, etc.).• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing processes.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.What We Offer:• A dynamic and supportive work environment.• Opportunities for professional growth and development.• Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
