NRL's client is seeking an E&ICAD Technician to join their team on a 3-6 month contract based in Macclesfield. The role involves supporting the Engineering & Design Department by delivering 2D AutoCAD design services, including loop diagrams and block cable diagrams, while collaborating with Instrument Engineers and Designers to ensure efficient project delivery. The position also includes contributing to project handovers, such as preparing Operation & Maintenance Manuals, and mentoring junior team members.

What you will need
  • ONC in a technical engineering-related subject or substantial relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, including updating P&ID drawings based on redline mark-ups.
  • Expertise in M&E design best practices, particularly in instrumentation.
  • Previous experience in UK construction projects; familiarity with hazardous area (ATEX) environments is desirable.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Understanding of the design process and associated documentation.
  • Experience across the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborative skills and experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
