A prestigious, international consultancy service based close to Wilmslow are seeking a meticulous and proactive Market Research and Data Specialist for a client in the events and conference sector. If you are ready to contribute to a dynamic team and grow your career, this position offers a rewarding path forward.The role would suit a graduate within a variety of fields such as; geography, business tourism; business events, international business etc both Assistant and Executive level opportunities are available, so dependent upon experience the role can range from GBP25,000pa to GBP28,000pa.What will you be doing as a Market Research and Data Specialist?
- Utilise online sources, search engines, and databases to investigate market sectors and specialisms across various cities and regions
- Research, identify, and validate potential conferences, considering factors such as size, history, and frequency
- Enter clear and concise data into a company-specific database, ensuring it is accessible and understandable
- Regularly update and verify data, maintaining accuracy and relevance
- Conduct productive outbound discovery calls and emails to potential UK/European and International Associations or local professionals
- Maintain an organised pipeline of leads, ensuring timely follow-ups and relationship management
- Coordinate client marketing activities, including inviting and securing guest attendance, venue selection, menu options, and logistics
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, maintaining the companys reputation
- Support account managers to meet targets and KPIs, writing progress reports and fulfilling contractual obligations
- Develop a thorough understanding of client products and services
- Stay updated with international industry news

- Proven experience in market research, data entry, and data validation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using search engines, online databases, and CRM systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain a clear pipeline of leads
- Experience in event coordination and logistics is advantageous
- Knowledge of relevant legislation regarding marketing and data protection
- Would suit a graduate within a variety of fields such as; geography, business tourism; business events, international business etc
What will you get in return for your work as a Market Research and Data Specialist?
- Both Assistant and Executive level opportunities are available, so dependent upon experience the salary can range from GBP25,000pa to GBP28,000pa.
- Hours of work are 37.5 hour per week, Monday - Friday 9am - 5.00pm, with 30 minutes lunch
