A well known Defence organisation are seeking two Senior Procurement Managers to join their team in Aldermaston.
This 18 Month Senior Procurement Manager opportunity will leverage your expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management to drive procurement strategy for complex, high-value categories.
This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to collaborate with executive stakeholders and contribute directly to long-term business strategy at their Aldermaston site.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy Development:
- Lead the design and execution of category strategies across complex procurement categories.
- Align closely with business stakeholders to deliver short and long-term procurement objectives.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management:
- Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing for high-value procurement.
- Develop supplier strategies to maximise value and reduce risk.
- Drive proactive relationship management for key suppliers.
Supply Chain Transformation:
- Cultivate a high-performance culture within the procurement team, focused on transforming supply chain management and enhancing stakeholder trust in SCM as a "Trusted Advisor."
- Build and track category targets, KPIs, and supplier benchmarks to continuously optimise cost and operational efficiency.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and manage high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success in category strategy, including infrastructure or construction procurement.
- NEC 3/4 contract experience.
- Strong skills in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comprehensive experience in the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including post-contract activities
- Security Clearance
