Due to expansion, a respected manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Facilities and Health and Safety Controller to join the team on a part time basis. This position will be responsible for overseeing site health & safety compliance and managing the day-to-day facilities maintenance operations. The position is a part time role of approximately 20 hours per week with pattern to be agreed between both parties. Candidates are sought with a good understanding of health & safety practises from an industrial sector.

Commutable from: Stratford upon Avon, Shipston, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Banbury, Moreton In Marsh, Evesham.

The Position:

Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across the site.

Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and building infrastructure.

Organise and deliver safety training sessions and coach on best practise

Ensure the company complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and implement changes as required.

Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation to regulatory bodies.

Develop and manage a schedule for routine maintenance and safety checks.

Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, and compliance activities.

Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and renovations.

Scheduling tasks for the facilities technician to complete on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

Manage facility budgets and allocate resources effectively for repairs and maintenance.

The Candidate

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

Certification/qualification in health and safety (IOSH, NEBOSH)

Must be able to work independently, make informed decisions, and effectively communicate with team members and management.

Will have worked in an industrial environment (manufacturing, engineering, distribution, logistics, warehousing, etc)

Strong organisational and multitasking skills.

Hands-on role requiring regular inspections and assessments within the facility.
