This SME organisation based near Aldershot is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part time basis (25 hours per week). This is an office-based role and would suit someone with experience in a similar position.

Accounts Assistant - About The Role

This is a varied role which is predominantly supporting the day to day finance function, however also providing assistance to the Office Manager and Sales Manager.

  • Manage all AR invoices on a daily basis, processing and emailing invoices, adding charges where applicable.
  • Manage all AP invoices on a daily basis, processing and matching.
  • Process daily cash receipts/payments, check bank for transactions, update cash balances, and maintain the daily cash report.
  • Run aged AR reports, chasing any necessary overdue invoices
  • Prepare and process monthly payment runs
  • Process and enter month end journals
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage restocking, stationery orders and assist with deliveries/collections
  • Assist with health and safety tasks

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience of working in an accounts position
  • A proactive and positive approach
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
