Infrastructure Engineer

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading consultancy, working on a variety of high-profile projects across the UK. This role offers a chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities of the role:
路Develop designs for highways and drainage infrastructure using relevant software, such as Civils 3D and MicroDrainage.
路Prepare feasibility studies, technical reports, and design documentation for planning submissions and approvals.
路Undertake detailed design calculations and assessments for sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and flood risk mitigation.
路Coordinate with architects, planners, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
路Manage and deliver projects on time and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards.
路Provide support to junior engineers, reviewing their work and fostering professional development.
路Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Requirements:
路A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
路Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE or similar professional body.
路Proven experience in infrastructure design, including highways and drainage.
路Proficiency in software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD.
路Strong understanding of design standards, including DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, and local authority guidelines.
路Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
路Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
路Experience with Section 38, 104, and 278 agreements.
路Knowledge of flood risk assessment and environmental impact considerations.
