  • Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 06:30 to 15:15 and Friday from 06:00 to 13:00, emphasizing punctuality and teamwork.

Our client specializes in manufacturing different gearing systems, this role will involve setting and operating various machinery (including CNC, Mazak, etc.), to set up and prepare materials and tooling for upcoming jobs, working from engineering drawings to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC turn/mill machines
  • Change machine setting from one job to another within a set time frame
  • Ability to read and understand programs
  • Able to use micrometres, verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheets
  • Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards
  • Deal with technical queries where possible, as and when required
  • Support colleagues by assisting with other duties when required, to aid the smooth running of the Company
  • Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the company
  • Be punctual at all times
  • Report any issues to the Unit Manager or Supervisor asap

Skills and Qualifications/experience:

  • Qualification in engineering or similar field
  • 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar industry/role
  • The ability to use a range of measuring equipment
  • Good math and technical skills
  • Knowledge and experience of systematic problem solving
  • Be proactive and a great team player
  • To be a quick learner and adaptable to change
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines

Hours

  • 06:30 – 15:15, Monday – Thursday and 06:00 – 13:00, Fridays.
