Our client, a well-established SME based in Aldershot, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to lead their finance function. This is an exciting opportunity to join an inclusive company with a strong culture that values collaboration and integrity. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee cost management, drive process improvements, and ensure financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities:Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, and tax.Manage cash flow to ensure adequate funding and financial stability.Monitor and oversee inventory stock positions on a weekly and monthly basis.Administer financial activities across group companies.Lead the budgeting process, working closely with operational managers to align financial goals with business objectives.Develop and manage the finance team, fostering a high-performing and supportive environment.Ensure compliance with statutory and financial regulations.Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the board of directors.Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial operations and drive efficiency.Implement cost-saving measures and process improvements to enhance financial performance.

Key Requirements:Formal accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is essential.Proven experience in cash flow and stock management.Hands-on experience in financial statement preparation.Strong leadership and team management skills within an SME environment.Proficiency in business partnering and stakeholder management.Advanced IT and accountancy systems skills, with expertise in Excel and Sage 200.
