In this role you will be repairing, replacing, and laying new gas mains and services - whilst gaining a Level 2 Gas Network Operations qualification over 2 years, and here’s the catch - we’re not interested in your CV! How you’ll support us on our mission to keep people safe and warm…
- Working on gas service/mains replacement activities, excavating in public and private highways for the laying and repairing of gas pipes
- Being in a variety of outdoor environments, working safely and as part of a team
- Using computer field systems
- Achieving high standards of safety and technical competence
- Opportunity to mentor trainee engineers
- Working towards the Gas Network Operative Apprenticeship Standard (ST0204)
What you’ll need

- Excellent customer service skills
- A full and valid driving licence is essential
- Comfortable with technology (for using field-based systems)
- At least English & maths GCSE level 1-3 (or D-G) or Functional skills level 1 in both
