A close client of mine are now looking for a Lapping Technician. This role would suit someone who has experience in a manufacturing or engineering background, with a willingness to learn.

Main Purpose is to work part of a team to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and perform lapping operations on precision parts
  • Assist with various processes (polishing, straightening, deburring, marking, cleaning)
  • Operate machines according to guidelines
  • Meet production targets and quality standards

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering experience preferred (training provided)
  • Ability to use measuring equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Meet deadlines efficiently
  • Positive and flexible work attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player mentality

Any experience using the following is desireable, but not essential

  • micrometre
  • vernier
  • drop clocks
  • optical light source.
