The role will be to work as part of a team to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry, working alongside different departments to support production flow throughout the unit.

  • Responsible to set up and perform necessary lapping ops on inside and/or outside diameters of various precision parts using various measuring equipment;
  • Provide assistance to all areas in the team when required (including lapping, polishing, straightening, deburring, part marking and cleaning of components)
  • Cleaning of components prior to inspection;
  • Ensure machines are operated according to site and manufacturer’s recommendations;
  • Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards;

Requirements

  • Experience in engineering and working in a similar field/industry would be beneficial. (training will be given) along with the ability to use a range of measuring equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines
