Our client specializes in manufacturing different gearing systems, in this job you will work as part of a team to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry, working alongside different departments to support production flow throughout the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to set up and perform necessary lapping ops on inside and/or outside diameters of various precision parts using various measuring equipment;
  • Provide assistance to all areas in the team when required (including lapping, polishing, straightening, deburring, part marking and cleaning of components)
  • Cleaning of components prior to inspection;
  • Ensure machines are operated according to site and manufacturer’s recommendations;
  • Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards;
  • Keep the working environment clean and tidy and practise good housekeeping;
  • Be punctual at all times;
  • Adhere to the company’s health and safety requirements and complete training as required.
  • Work in accordance with the quality system and processes of the company.
  • Coordinates with fellow team members, managers, and directors.
  • Departmental and individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Adhere to the company’s health and safety requirements and complete training as required.
  • Adhere to company standards i.e. Environmental, Social and Governance, Anti-Bribery and Cyber-Security.
  • Assist in other duties as requested.

Skills and Qualifications/experience:

  • Experience in engineering and working in a similar field/industry would be beneficial. (training will be given)
  • The ability to use a range of measuring equipment.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines.
  • Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
