We are currently seeking an experienced freight forwarder/coordinator to manage multi-modal import freight consignments for key customers/accounts.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing dynamic team with a privately owned Multi-Modal Freight Forwarding & Logistics group situated along the M3 corridor, approximately 20 miles from the London Heathrow gateway and 49 miles from Southampton port to the South - a great location for a logistics hub for shipping and warehousing.

Multi-modal import Coordinator Role:

  • Manage import clearances into the UK across all shipping modes: Air, Road and Sea.
  • Arranging multi-modal import/export deliveries and transport in the UK.
  • Assist with import bookings to UK from overseas countries & managing some client accounts (local, national, and international) and following up on service expectations to various clients.
  • Providing rates to specific sales channel clients.
  • Some invoice processing and tie-up of client's paperwork for their records.
  • Manage queries and resolve problems.

Essential requirements:

  • Min 3 years current experience as a freight forwarder import/export clerk in the UK.
  • Previous/current experience as a UK freight forwarder in UK import operations with current experience of CDS customs entries using Sequoia and knowledge of UK import customs procedures (including temporary, bonded and ATA CARNETS).
