As part of our growth strategy, we seek an experienced manufacturing/process engineer to join our growing team.
Role: NPI Engineer - Manufacturing Engineer (Electronics CEM)
A key role in our engineering team. This role supports the technical daily functions in relation to process control and process engineering within our PCB manufacturing environment. We are seeking an experienced process engineer from within the electronics sector. Deep knowledge of the PCB manufacturing process with an understanding of the IPC-610 and/or JSTD-001 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Process owner and key gate in enacting new products, parts and orders.
Develop a robust process for DFM/DFX/DFT.
Review SOW’s within the bid/quote engineering phase.
Define the technical process flow and operations at a granular level with a review and verification process.
Produce technical instructions to support the production process.
Propose, create and instigate tooling to support the production process.
Work closely with our production planning and quality teams to execute NPI/production orders successfully.
BOM Engineering/route planning and post-process review
Review and apply ECNs/change orders.
Added Value:
Support the research and implementation of new manufacturing/process techniques, including capital equipment.
Interface with customers to plan and implement new processes, such as ICT/production test.
Skills Required:
Minimum 5 years’ experience within an electronics manufacturing role.
Experience in a process controls and best practice for PCBA production.
Knowledge of ICT, functional test.
Pro-active and task ownership.
Knowledge IPC Standards.
Experience of process flow, creating work instructions & relevant documentation.
Attention to detail.
Organised and self-disciplined.
Able to communicate with staff, customers and suppliers.
Track critical tasks, working to defined timelines.
Advantageous skills:
Lean & 6-Sigma experience
Familiar with TQM and continuous improvement environments
Experience with AS9100 standards
Core hours:
Mon-Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm
Full time, with a degree of reciprocal flexibility is required.
