Salary: Depending on Experience (Between 30-38k Per Annum)

Reports to: Engineering Supervisor


Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:30 (45-minute lunch)

  • Friday: 07:00 - 12:00

  • Total: 40 hours/week



Role Overview

This is a hands-on position focused on supporting and improving production processes on the shop floor. The successful candidate will be a key part of the engineering team, with a particular focus on rubber moulding technologies.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for new rubber moulded components and related assembly operations.

  • Work with various rubber moulding methods, including:

    • Injection moulding

    • Compression moulding

    • Transfer moulding

  • Support product validation through rubber testing and measurement in collaboration with the in-house lab and engineering team.

  • Oversee processes involving rubber-to-metal or multi-substrate bonding.

  • Coordinate with the CAD and tooling teams on tooling design and development.

  • Define finishing and inspection requirements for production parts.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues by analyzing moulding process parameters and implementing corrective actions.

  • Train production staff on moulding processes to ensure smooth transition from development to manufacturing.



Requirements

  • Background in engineering or equivalent practical experience in rubber moulding processes.

  • Strong hands-on experience with rubber machinery and moulding equipment.

  • Solid understanding of critical quality characteristics in rubber-based components.

  • Effective project and time management skills with a focus on meeting customer expectations.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
