We are working with a long-standing and leading business, who due to continuous growth and expansion of their teams, are looking to recruit a Duty Manager to join their dynamic team in Aldershot.

Our client values teamwork, recognising that their dedicated staff and excellent teams are the driving force behind their success! Aside from being hardworking and forward-thinking, there are a few more requirements to make sure you are the right fit for this role:

  • Currently serving as an Assistant Store Manager or an experienced Supervisor with a background in retail or a related field.
  • Full Driving License.
  • Strong passion for personal and professional growth.
  • Proven experience in stock management, including hands-on replenishment, conducting stock counts, and handling booking-in processes.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills and/or previous experience managing a small team.

As Duty Manager you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to oversee the cover of the store in their absence, supervising 8 key staff members and helping to achieve sales and targets, alongside excellent customer service delivery. A typical day in this role includes:

  • Managing People: Recruit, train, and manage staff while communicating goals and addressing performance.
  • Store Operations: Ensure smooth store operations, including security, procedures, and stock management.
  • Customer Service: Maintain high customer service standards and handle feedback and complaints.
  • Sales / Business Development: Drive sales growth and identify new business opportunities.
  • General Responsibilities: Adhere to Company policies, promote values, and focus on continuous improvement.

Job Title: Duty Manager

Salary: £26,000 per annum + bonuses, commission and incentives

Location: Aldershot

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week with alternating weekend shifts, with either Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday off (9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday, 7:00pm finish on Thursdays with these later shifts alternating, Saturdays OFF, and 10:00am - 1:00pm on Sundays)
