Here at Halmer Recruit we are currently recruiting for a Goods in stores operative for our busy clients warehouse department on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long standing company who are lead experts for their industry.

The role will include but isn't limited to the following...

  • Receiving & Dispatching stock to & from customers.
  • Issuing and receipt of consumables/non stock items.
  • Strong record keeping both electronically & in physical paperwork.
  • Keeping the warehouse, clean & tidy & in line with health & safety regulations.
  • Loading & unloading of deliveries & Vehicles.
  • Driving company van when needed such as collecting & delivering stock at storage facilities, collecting items from suppliers etc.
  • General goods in duties.
  • General warehouse duties.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes...

  • Previous store or warehouse experience.
  • Previous goods in experience.
  • Full clean UK manual driving license,
  • Counterbalance forklift license
  • Be someone who is able to work independently and also as part of a team.
  • Be a self motivated person with a can do attitude.
  • Must be computer literate and have some knowledge of one of the following; MS Office, Sage X3 or similar.
  • Must be someone who is flexible due to late & early deliveries.
  • Must be someone who thrives under pressure and able to multi-task.
  • Must be able to commit to manual handling such as Heavy lifting, carrying, kneeling crouching and working on your feet all day.

Hours, Days & pay...

  • Monday to Friday
  • 07:00 - 16:30pm (Monday to Thursday) 07:00 - 12:00pm (Friday's)
  • 40 hours a week
  • £28,000 PA
