We are a well established business supplying to UK companies and institutions with a comprehensive range of innovative safety and security products which meet the most demanding of environments and specifications. We are now seeking a Full Time Permanent  Warehouse Operative working hours Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.00pm with an hour lunch, offering a generous salary depending on experience plus 25 days holiday, pension contribution and free parking.

The role of Warehouse Operative will report directly into the Director on a day-to-day basis and you will ensure the smooth running of the warehouse operation alongside a small team within the Warehouse. To be successful, you will have proven warehouse, stores, stock or similar experience and you will be used to being on your feet all day, be physically fit due to the nature of our business and happy being part of a small team of Warehouse staff working as part of a larger organisation with duties involving as listed below:

To pick, pack and despatch goods accurately and efficiently, which will involve

Visually checking goods for internal and external appearance as appropriate.

Checking the unit for satisfactory mechanical operation and ensuring unit has a factory set code if required.

Ensuring the inclusion of standard accessories/components/documentation.

Affixing necessary identification labels.

Packing the unit to ensure as far is as reasonably practical damage free transit to the customer.

Packing the unit in accordance with customer specific requirements as necessary.

Producing the necessary computer-generated consignment paperwork.   

Assist the warehouse supervisor where required with the receipt of goods and other duties

where requested.

Cut Keys and modify/rework our products to the required standard as necessary.

Be part of a regular six monthly stocktake.

Exercise care and safety during your work thus ensuring minimal risks both personally and towards colleagues.

Undertake forklift and other general safety maintenance checks. 

Understand and adhere to Health & Safety, Fire and ISO procedures.

To be considered for this role you will have worked within a similar Warehouse Operative,  Warehouse Assistant or Stores role previously, be a team player, have a positive approach towards your work and your team, making sure that all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, happy with a repetitive and routine work load, have a good eye for detail, be happy working on your feet all day and a knowledge of manual handling. Any experience of a counter balance fork lift would be an advantage. In return we can offer a generous salary plus 25 days holiday and benefits and on site parking.
