MPI require an experienced Driver/Stores Person to work on a long-term contract, in Aldridge.
Ongoing contract
Pay rate: £11.94 p/h.
Mon- Friday 8:00 - 17:00 (one hour lunch)
This is a hybrid driver/stores person role. When not out doing deliveries or collections from clients, the candidate will be required to work in the Stores area.
Client
Our Client is dedicated to Industrial Automation and they are currently offering a unique opportunity for a customer focused individual to join their field based Multi-Drop Driving and logistics team based out of the warehouse.
Driving Duties
As an approachable, well presented, professional individual, you will be required to both deliver and collect engineering equipment and machinery to customers . Unlike other multi-drop delivery roles, your daily drops will consist of meeting with the client, assisting with unloading and talking to them about their business. Cross / Up selling is a part of your position and that can only be done when the delivery driver takes the time to get to know the client. In this role, quality is much more important than quantity.
A transit van that can carry load of up to 500kg is provided and you will be expected to work a 40hour week as a general rule, although they accept on occasions this might increase in extenuating circumstances.
When not out doing deliveries to customers, the candidate will be required to work in the Stores area.
Stores Person Duties
Low pace environment, will require the candidate to:
- Checking, storing, packing, and moving goods.
- Use internal system to book in and out.
- Dealing with shipments inbound to the company.
- Understanding of Import/Export requirements (desirable)
- Booking Imports/Exports via in-house computer system.
- Dealing with shipment issues within the EU or outside.
- Weekly ordering of packing equipment that will help with the shipment of goods.
- Ensuring products is dispatched to the customer on time.
- Arranging consignments through Courier companies & Freight Forwarders for UK and Export.
- Keeping on top with RA recycling/housekeeping policies.
- Forklift Trained (desirable)
