Top Gear Recruitment Solutions are currently recruitng for PAYE HGV1 container drivers to join one of our busy distribution clients in Aldridge. Our client is an international freight forwarder with many depots across the UK.
We are looking for a flexible drivers who are looking for day or nightwork, this will be Monday-Friday with weekend work subject to availability.
Job Role:
- Collecting from the various container ports in the UK. The main one being Felixstowe. Port cards can be refreshed but must have previously held one
- Container shunting from the docks and bring back to the depot
- Ensure all PODs (proof of delivery) signed by customer and checked before leaving
- Ensuring all checks are done
Driver must have:
- No more than 6 points on driving license (No DRs CDs INs)
- No accidents in last 5 years
- Held a UK licence for over 12 months
- Drivers could be asked to undertake a variety of duties
- Must have previous experience on containers
- Port/Dock cards
- Must be flexible when needed
