Murray McIntosh is currently recruiting for a Fitter (Mechanical & Electrical) to work on a contract basis for a client of ours as detailed below.You will be working on an engineering construction project which requires on site working 12 hours days Monday - Friday as a standard week.This project will require use of staircases and a working height of 35 metres.

You will be trained to work at heights with harness training.

We require candidates who hold SC clearance.Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands on support to the project
  • Work closely with the respective mechanical/electrical installation engineers to support project activities
  • Work under supervision of senior engineers
  • Typical activities will include running cables & installing bracketry etc
  • Able to read and work to engineering drawings & use hand tools

Experience:

  • 2 years + experience in similar role
  • Mechanical or electrical degree or equivalent qualification
  • Understanding of engineering standards
