Our client is a local authority located in Aberdeen with a current requirement for aSenior Team Leader (Gas Central Heating Team)

Whilst in this role you will be required to;
  • Take responsibility for the supply of materials from the workshops to various maintenance/contract works in all housing for Gas Central Heating Systems and Repairs.
  • Supervise a multi skilled work force - Gas Registered Engineers, Joiner, Electrician, sub for floor finishes
  • Participate in investigations when concerns or complaints have been raised about standards of service or work.
  • Liaise with other collogues to ensure complaints raised about standards of service or repairs have been appropriately investigated and responded to.
  • Liaise and attend various meetings, as required, with contractors, specialist firms, Services, other local authority bodies, private consultants etc.
  • Update, develop and where necessary, procedures for monitoring and review in conjunction with other members of staff.
  • Working with all main building trades
To be successful in this role;
  • A knowledge of social housing stock and the construction methods used in building them.
  • A good knowledge of building regulations.
  • Good knowledge of the regulations relating to asbestos.
  • Understanding of current Health and Safety issues and all current legislation and statutory procedures.
  • Knowledge of IT packages, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Word etc.

Essential:
  • Gas Safe Registered and familiar with current regulations
  • Be knowledgeable in current regulations.
  • Awareness of current health and safety legislation.
  • Risk assessments and method statements.
  • Driving License
  • HNC
  • SMSTS
