Mechanical Draftsman - Oil & Gas Industry

We are seeking a talented individual to take on a dynamic role in producing high-quality technical drawings and supporting the engineering team in delivering exceptional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed and accurate technical drawings under the supervision of the Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to supplied specifications, applicable standards, and QHSE policies.
  • Create manufacturing and assembly drawings using SolidWorks, including detailed Excel-based BOMs.
  • Prepare graphical illustrations for marketing and project proposals.
  • Assist in the preparation of quality documents, including engineering check sheets, inspection sheets, and control documents.
  • Conduct and interpret mechanical calculations related to project needs.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including design, testing, manufacturing, and QA/QC.
  • Participate in I-Mech.E enrollment programs and contribute to team projects.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Education: HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (enrollment in a relevant program will also be considered).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role, preferably with exposure to downhole tools, completion, or intervention tools.
  • Software Expertise: Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CADWORKS, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). MS Project skills are an advantage.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with API manufacturing principles, completion equipment design, and standards such as API 11-D1, ASNT, and AWS.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
