iO Associates are proud to partner with an Animal Feed Manufacturer based near Aberdeen in the search for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic company that are dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement. It's also an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to provide engineering support for a wide range of equipment and systems.

As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will provide support for the maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning on factory equipment.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair factory equipment
  • Conduct wiring and fault finding in panels and SCADA systems
  • Carry out preventative maintenance routines
  • Perform boiler safety tests in line with UK Health, Safety and Environment requirements
  • Keep engineering records up to date
  • Liaise with engineering contractors and suppliers

You will need:

  • 3+ years experience working within an Engineering Team in a FMCG manufacturer
  • Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Electrical Training

In return for this, you will receive a base salary of up to £43,600, and with overtime salary expectations can look up to £47,600. Alongside this, there are some great benefits such as 26 days of holiday plus bank holidays, an attendance bonus, and a brilliant company pension contribution.

There will be some overtime required to complete breakdowns or maintenance routines before production runs, including Saturday mornings. There is a call-out rota for occasional out-of-hour breakdowns (call out pay and mileage is covered). Overtime is paid at 1.5x the hourly rate for Saturday mornings and 2x the hourly rate on Saturday afternoons.
