The Role?

Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join the team in Aberdeen, on a full time, permanent basis.

Primarily the main point of contact for allocated entity whilst supporting additional entities as necessary. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the company management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001) and adherence legislation whilst promoting a strong HSEQ culture across the business.

This role will primarily support; First Marine Solutions, First Integrated Solutions and North Sea Compactors, although additional support may be required for other group companies on an ad-hoc basis.

The successful candidate will hold extensive experience within a similar role, hold knowledge ofBS EN ISO 9001 2015, 14001 and OHSAS 45001 certifications, have previously obtained or working towards their NEBOSH National Certificate and be self motivated with an interest in further learning and developing in the role and their CPD.

?What will you do?

  • Responsible for playing a key role in ensuring that daily operational activities are conduced safely and in line with the highest standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with company management systems and ISO requirements.
  • Supporting the business with legislation and providing guidance on HSEQ related matters.
  • Responsible for carrying out investigations relating to the accident and incident procedures, ensuring continual improvement and ongoing prevention.
  • Responsible for assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations, working closely with the relevant supervisors and managers to maintain operational requirements whilst considering HSEQ legislation.
  • Responsible for ensuring equipment maintenance procedures are followed and controlled in accordance with company procedures.
  • Responsible for assisting the HSEQ Manager in tracking and reporting HSEQ metrics.
  • Attend and support client HSEQ meetings, forums, and initiatives.
  • Manage HSEQ records and information.
  • Oversee the induction of new employees and provide relevant training.
  • Maintain the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 Management Systems within FIS, NSC & FMS.
  • Implement policies into company procedures liaising with the Management Teams when required.
  • Participate in HSEQ initiatives, innovations, programs, and processes throughout the businesses.
  • Chair HSEQ Meetings, preparing data and taking minutes as required.
  • Frequent site visits to ensure a thorough understanding of business operations.
  • Maintain internal and Supplier Audits to demonstrate compliance with all Management Systems.
  • Assist the Group HSEQ Manager to produce reports to monitor the performance of HSEQ.
  • Liaise with third parties such as customers, outside inspectors, Local Authorities or HSE to address external issues with the support of the HSEQ Manager where required.
  • Maintain HSEQ Training Matrix within the company HRMS identifying training opportunities as required.
  • Contribute to, develop, and implement a HSEQ continuous improvement process.
  • Promote HSEQ awareness and Safe working practice via toolbox talks etc.
  • Support Group HSEQ Manager in supporting personnel at all levels to maintain the HSEQ culture onsite.
  • Assist the Group HSEQ Manager in monitoring HSEQ performance through inspections and audits.
  • Conducting risk assessments for operational activities as required.
  • Perform regular site safety inspections and audits.
  • Communicate safety bulletins, updates and lessons learned.
  • Assessing and documenting Safe Systems of Work.
  • Responsible for the documentation of all Non-Conformances, Corrective Action Reports and customer complaints ensuring effective workflow through the teams to ensure a full and detailed close out updating Group HSEQ Manager throughout.
  • Staying up to date with HSEQ legislation and guidance and maintaining knowledge of HSEQ legislation and guidance.
  • Assist with any other duties as and when required.


Your Qualifications & Experience:

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Extensive experience within a similar role.
  • Knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001 2015, 14001 and OHSAS 45001 certifications.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • NEBOSH National Certificate.
  • Holds IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • HSEQ Internal Auditor certification.

Preferred

  • NEBOSH National Diploma
  • Experience using SharePoint
