Job Profile:
As a Commercial Property Solicitor at Partner level, you will be based in our Aberdeen office and be responsible for managing an extensive and varied caseload of commercial property matters. You will handle high-profile transactions, advise clients on complex legal issues, and ensure that their business and commercial interests are fully protected.
You will also take a leadership role within the department, mentoring junior solicitors and contributing to the strategic development of the team. This position offers excellent career progression opportunities for a solicitor seeking a long-term leadership role in a forward-thinking firm.
Duties:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of high-value commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and leasing agreements
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients on commercial property matters, with a focus on ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting client interests
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as sale agreements, leases, securities, and development contracts
- Conduct thorough due diligence on property transactions, reviewing title deeds and identifying potential legal risks and liabilities
- Collaborate closely with other departments, such as planning, litigation, and tax, to offer comprehensive legal services to clients
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with key clients, including developers, landlords, commercial tenants, and financial institutions
- Mentor junior solicitors and trainees, providing guidance on commercial property law and best practices
- Play an active role in the firms business development initiatives, including attending networking events, building new client relationships, and enhancing the firms presence in the market
Skills & Experience:
- Fully qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial property law
- A proven track record of managing high-value commercial property transactions from inception to completion
- Full qualification in Scots Law
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly to clients
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload and multiple deadlines
- Experience in leadership, mentoring, or managing junior solicitors is advantageous
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems

- 35 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 09:00 to 17:15
