The below job description will outline this position of: Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer

Typically, this person will work on stationary, dockside, drydock or in build vessels either fault finding, servicing, repairing, retrofitting and commissioning of all shipboard electrical (PMS, ECS), automation and navigation systems.

You will either be a current ETO or marine electrical field service engineer looking for an exciting change.

HSB Technicals client is a very established and well-regarded business entity.

Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer:

  • You will: Fault find, repair (to component level), service and test all types of main and auxiliary equipment, from engine room to bridge ranging from high power generation, distribution, switchgear and propulsion to instrumentation, automation and navigation equipment
  • Involvement in procuring spare parts
  • Planned maintenance, overhaul, upgrades, and retrofits
  • Commissioning and setting to work of new and upgraded systems
  • Modifications to existing installations
  • Close collaboration with the companies electrical and control systems design department to plan, design and deliver both new and retrofit solutions in marine propulsion and auxiliary plant, offshore production systems and offshore construction mission equipment.
  • Train and mentor other personnel

Qualifications and requirement for the Marine Electrical Field Service Engineer:

  • UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to travel in and out of the UK freely and at a moments notice
