About the Role

As a Mechanic/MOT Tester, you'll take on the crucial responsibility of ensuring commercial vans are roadworthy, safe, and compliant with regulations. You will perform a wide range of tasks from diagnostics to servicing and repairs, as well as conducting MOT tests on a variety of vehicles. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

About the Client

Our client is an established independent garage specialising in the service and repair of commercial vans in Aberdeen. They have built a strong reputation for providing efficient, top-quality workmanship with a focus on customer care. Youll be joining a team that prides itself on expertise and delivering reliable service to a loyal customer base.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm, giving you the benefit of a solid work-life balance.

Key Duties
  • Perform MOT tests on a range of commercial vans to ensure vehicles meet road safety standards.

  • Conduct general diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles.

  • Accurately identify issues, offer repair solutions, and ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.

  • Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed in the garage.

  • Maintain clear communication with customers, providing updates and technical advice when required.

Key Requirements.
  • Proven experience working with commercial vehicles, especially vans.

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
