We are currently working with an organisation based near Alfreton who are looking to recruit for a Trainee Accounts Clerk to join the organisation. Reporting into the Accounts Senior you will be responsible for matching and coding of invoices, dealing with supplier queries, raising sales invoices and chasing outstanding debt.

Applicants will ideally have some experience of working within an account's environment, ideally within purchase ledger although other areas will also be considered and posses excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Duties include:

  • Process purchase ledger invoices
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve queries
  • Chase up credit notes
  • Chase up invoice approvals with site teams
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Adding and amending new customers on the system
  • Chasing outstanding debt via telephone and email
