Van Driver
Location: Riddings, Derbyshire
Service Area: Birmingham
£11.44 per hour, Monday to Friday
We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our small, friendly engineering team based in Riddings, Derbyshire. In this role, you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of engineering components to and from customers in the Birmingham area. You’ll ensure that all deliveries are handled efficiently, while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive from our office in Riddings, Derbyshire to planned collection and delivery locations across Birmingham.
Drop off and collect engineering components, ensuring timely and safe transport.
Receive and check off deliveries, addressing any anomalies and ensuring all paperwork is accurately updated.
Maintain up-to-date delivery paperwork, submitting all relevant documentation daily.
Load and unload the van, making sure all materials are secured safely for transport.
Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure the van is in safe working condition.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and collections.
Key Requirements:
Driving License: Full, clean UK driving license.
Eligibility: Must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence will be required during the recruitment process.
Experience: Previous experience as a van driver is preferred, especially in roles involving deliveries and collections.
Customer Service: Strong customer service skills to ensure customers receive the correct materials efficiently.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling deliveries and completing paperwork is essential.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Team Player: Willing to assist with other tasks as needed within the company.
