3PL Commercial Manager

£43,000 - £45,000 plus fantastic company benefits and 10% bonus
Hybrid and office role (must live within 45 minutes from DE55)
We are currently recruiting for a 3PL Commercial Manager, for one of our established and growing clients based in South Normanton, Derbyshire. You will report directly to the head of 3PL commercial, your role will be to support, negotiate and manage the Companys selected 3PL and Transport Services commercial agreements to ensure the company maximises its earning potential.
Key Responsibilities for 3PL Commercial Manager
Manage, review, and negotiate contract extensions for the Companys 3PL and Transport Services contracts to ensure all are within their agreed term
Establish a rate Amendment Mechanism that routinely manages new costs via the identification of new tasks, cost model revisions and routine rate reviews e.g., Cancelled Orders, Unpicked Orders, CHEP Pallets, DGNs etc
To maintain a reasonable level of understanding relevant to the industry, from both a regulatory (GDP) basis and commercial intelligence
Working with senior and contract managers undertake and publish annual 5-year occupancy forecasting requirements across each storage type
Ensure that contact with clients is professional and responsive to their needs
Person specificationfor 3PL Commercial Manager
Minimum 3 years experience in developing contract backed logistics solutions.
Understanding of supply chain / warehouse concepts
Uses initiative and judgement effectively to make logical decisions
Comfortable in ability to present at board level
Excellent negotiator
Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues
