W Talent are now partnering with a concrete manufacturer, seeking to recruit a Senior Team Leader to join their dynamic production team in Alfreton. This role offers the opportunity to lead and inspire a workforce while prioritising safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As a Senior Team Leader located at the Alfreton site, you'll play a key role in supervising the production team, driving efficient labour utilisation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You'll be a proactive leader who ensures production demands are met in a safe and efficient manner. This is a hands-off leadership position, focusing on visible felt leadership to guide and motivate your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the highest safety standards, ensuring a Zero Harm approach and adherence to golden rules.
  • Promote a clean-as-you-go mindset, keeping the workplace tidy and safe.
  • Drive innovation and improvements in processes with support from management.
  • Train team members using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs), ensuring everyone meets the required standards.
  • Monitor product quality, address any non-conformities, and prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  • Allocate labour effectively, ensuring cross-functional skills are developed within the team.
  • Accurately report issues to management in a timely and honest manner.
  • Asist the Works Supervisor in meeting safety, quality, and production targets.
  • Work closely with other departments to challenge and uphold standards.
  • Support maintenance efforts by ensuring planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) are upheld and breakdowns are efficiently resolved.

What We're Looking For

  • Supervisor/Team Leader experience.
  • Educated to college level and/or IOSH Managing Safely qualification (training may be provided).
  • Experience with Risk Assessments and SOPs.
