Your Role

As a QEHS Advisor, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems and policies. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Your expertise will support our commitment to delivering excellence while safeguarding our workforce and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Leadership:Provide assistance to the Senior Leadership Team and Group Head of QEHS.
  • Policy Development:Develop and oversee QHSE management systems and policies, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation.
  • Risk Management:Facilitate risk assessments and hazard identification, implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Audit Coordination:Lead internal and external QHSE audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Training Programs:Design and deliver QHSE training programs, promoting a culture of safety.
  • Incident Investigation:Investigate accidents, incidents, and nonconformities, ensuring comprehensive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Performance Monitoring:Monitor and report on QHSE performance metrics, presenting findings to senior management.
  • External Liaison:Liaise with external QHSE bodies, consultants, regulatory agencies, customers, and insurance inspectors.
  • Certification Maintenance:Ensure all required memberships and certifications are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Environmental Compliance:Oversee hazardous substances management and environmental permitting, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Communication:Effectively communicate QEHS matters across all levels of the business.
  • Continuous Improvement:Develop and implement continuous improvement plans and action logs.
  • Emergency Procedures:Ensure appropriate emergency procedures are in place and practiced regularly.
  • Administrative Support:Provide administrative support for all QHES requirements, including record management, minute taking, and report writing.
  • Legislation Updates:Stay up to date with new legislation and best practices in the industry.

What we need from you:

  • Experience:Minimum of 5 years in a QEHS or similar compliance-based role.
  • Certification:NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and GRAD IOSH Membership.
  • IT Skills:Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication:Excellent written and oral communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility:Willingness to work in multiple locations and travel as required.
  • Driving License:Essential due to the amount of travel involved.
