We are looking for an experienced Tool Room Polisher / Die Cleaner to join our established Toolroom based at our Birchwood site, Somercotes.
WHAT OUR TOOL ROOM POLISHERS/ DIE CLEANERS DO:
- Support our Tool Makers and Die Cleaners
- Be responsible for all new and existing tooling on site
- Ensure all types of extrusion tools are stripped, cleaned and assembled ready for production
- Ensure all new tooling is polished to a production standard
- Basic Engineering background/knowledge
- Basic knowledge/ experience of metal polishing
- Previous use of polishing equipment
- Knowledge and experience of extrusion/hand tools an advantage but not essential
- Good communication skills and practical thinking
- Ability to keep pace, in a high-volume production environment
- Experience of working in a factory environment and working long shifts, on your feet
