As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant you will provide support to students with special educational needs, assisting in their learning and personal development within the classroom setting.

This role involves working closely with not only the student but also the Teachers, Parents, SENDCO and Specialists to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

This role will include supporting students with a variety of learning difficulties including Autism, ADHD, Non-verbal as well as students with multiple learning difficulties or challenging behaviour.

In this role you will:

  • Work within a Specialist Hub within a Primary School with the students and aid in the education of the curriculum
  • Work with the school SENCO to achieve goals and targets
  • Foster a positive environment that enables the students to grow and learn
  • Promote the love of learning and education to the students
  • Work full-time, 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

  • You have had any experience working with SEN students or students with Learning Difficulties
  • You have safeguarding qualifications or would be willing to obtain them
  • You have CPD’s such as Autism/ADHD Awareness, Child Development or Mental Health, or would be willing to obtain them
  • You have a passion for helping and caring for young people to help them achieve their full potential
  • You have previously worked as a Teaching Assistant and are willing to take the next step in support within our industry
  • You have a background in any of the following industries: Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Pastoral Assistant, Social Work
  • You are calm, friendly and patient when working with the children

What you will earn:

The hourly rate will range depending on your experience and time within the industry, the standard hourly rate will be starting from £13.04, this has the potential to increase based on experience. In order to be considered for the higher pay rate, you do need to have a minimum of 2 years experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £13.04-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.5 per week
