This role is for a Mechanical Fitter at a leading Commercial Explosive Manufacturer in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Candidates should have experience as a Mechanical Fitter, particularly with modern technology or pump machinery, and a time-served qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

The Mechanical Fitter will be in charge of maintenance and compliance of Mechanical plant and all associated systems.
Making sure plant is maintained to the highest standards minimising reactive jobs.
Contributing to improvement of the plant equipment to company regulated standards.
Ensuring that all mechanical equipment used on site complies the required industry standards.

The Mechanical Fitter will need to have:

Experience as Mechanical Fitter with exposure to modern technology machinery, or pump machinery.
Time served qualification in Mechanical Engineering
General Plant and machine maintenance

Desirables:

Someone who can write and review maintenance procedures in line with manufacturer guidance.
Experience dealing with computerised maintenance systems.
Experience working on a COMAH Site.
