People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our well-established client based in Alfreton.
As a Shift Manager, you will lead a team within the Distribution Centre to ensure the smooth flow of products through the warehouse.
The role will involve meeting key performance indicators, focusing on quality and working to continually improve warehouse processes.
You will be required to adhere to health and safety policy, together with upholding standards and the reporting of any hazards.
As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will have responsibility for your team’s performance as well as a keen eye for process improvements.
You will also be required to spot the best ways of reducing cost, whilst delivering world class service and results.

Day to Day Duties
- Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements
- Ensure the operation achieves all daily, weekly and monthly targets and KPI's, resulting in high performance levels
- Ensure the efficient and effective provision of a quality service to the customer
- Manage a team of direct line reports including delivering team member performance review, development and/or succession planning as appropriate
- Actively promote, take responsibility for embedding a culture of employee engagement within the team
- Ensure compliance to Warehouse, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and safe systems of work
- Utilise continuous improvement tools and techniques and support team members in their application

- Experience of managing and leading a team
- Flexible and committed to achieving team/site objectives
Desirable Experience
- Good IT skills with skills in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service
- MHE qualification is desirable
