    • Fault finding PLC systems
    • Interpersonal skills and ability to work co-operatively

  • Desirable Competencies:
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience
    • 17th Edition Certified
    • Experience of using DMAIC processes for improvements
  • Relevant information:
    • Role is 2 days 2 nights four off for the shift Technician
    • Suitable candidates will be given training/exposure to fulfill the role

Job Title: Shift Maintenance Engineer

Summary of Role:  

  • Carry out fault finding and repairs to extrusion lines, automation cells, moulding machines, ancillary equipment, downstream extrusion equipment and butt fusion equipment supporting existing day/shift team as required.
  • Investigate route cause of breakdowns and suggest improvement activities to avoid repeats, communicate findings to all relevant parties.
  • Service equipment to agreed PM schedules offering improvements to current schedule where opportunities exist.
  • Complete daily logs and data capture via CMMS system.
  • Lead specific improvement projects where machine performance gaps exist by analysing data such Barco breakdown information/workmate, scoping out improvements required and delivering against improvement gap closure plan and measuring susses using DMAIC techniques.

Qualifications/ Experience

  • Time served Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship 
  • Fault finding PLC systems.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work co-operatively within a team
  • Proven ability to fault find and problem solve.

Desirable Competencies:

  • Time served
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience.
