Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer, Vehicle Technician, or Pump Engineer looking for a diverse and hands-on role? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturing business in the explosives industry, where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing specialist vehicles and their onboard pump systems.The Role: As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Servicing, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on specialist commercial vehicles
  • Maintaining and overhauling vehicle-mounted pumps and fluid transfer systems
  • Conducting fault-finding and diagnostics on both vehicle components and pumping equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure reliability
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety and regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician, or Pump Engineer
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work across both vehicle maintenance and specialist pump systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Engineering or Mechanics) – desirable but not essential
