Salary: Above Minimum Apprenticeship Rate + Excellent Benefits!

Hours: 39 hours - Monday to Friday

We are now looking to recruit and train a capable Welding Apprentice who will be supported to undertake a Fabrication and Welding apprenticeship with West Nottinghamshire College.

This apprenticeship provides a real opportunity to learn the various workshop processes based around the fabrication and welding department.

An enthusiastic approach, coupled with an engineering aptitude and passion is required.

As our Manufacturing Welding Apprentice you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking a Fabrication and Welding Apprenticeship
  • Adopting Lean manufacturing Techniques
  • Reading and interpreting weld drawings and symbols
  • Taking accurate measurements
  • Learning to Mig, Tig and Mag weld all existing products in line with the requirements of IS09001
  • Learning to use fabrication machinery and processes to produce A Frame components
  • Other duties including fettling and grinding, marking out, drilling
  • Metal fabrication - cutting, bending
  • Interpreting technical drawings
  • General duties including keeping work area clean and tidy,
  • Adhering to Health & Safety protocol at all times
  • General support to team members

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 A - C qualifications (including Mathematics, English and Science), or equivalent alternative qualifications.
