LB315 – Workshop Forklift EngineerLocation: South NormantonSalary: £31,000 - £36,000Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Workshop Forklift Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to long/short term machines and customers owned equipment. Ensuring best practice with quality and professionalism are met at all times and to maintain customer satisfaction.Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel however, all candidates will be considered.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and repair of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance.
  • Checking oil and fuel levels.
  • Checking all related hoses and connections.
  • Steering and brake checks.
  • Basic electrical checks – brake lights etc.
  • Liaising with customers regarding their individual requirements.
  • Submit accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
  • Acting as the face of the company and therefore acting as a brand ambassador.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in servicing, repair or maintenance of material handling equipment (MHE), construction plant, agricultural machinery or powered access equipment, or forklift trucks.
  • Knowledge of automotive, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Relevant technical qualification would be advantageous.
