A well-established not-for-profit organisation is seeking a Procurement Officer to provide a compliant and efficient procurement service. The role involves managing the full tender process, ensuring all frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems (DPS), and contracts adhere to Public Contract Regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage public procurement processes, including frameworks and DPS agreements
- Draft and publish high-quality tender documentation and notices
- Manage the tender process through an online procurement portal
- Evaluate supplier submissions, including complex pricing data
- Conduct financial credit checks on contractors and suppliers
- Provide procurement guidance to stakeholders, supporting mini-competitions and contract awards
- Keep up to date with Public Contract Regulations and best practices
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive, with experience in public sector procurement. Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Essential Skills & Experience- Strong knowledge of Public Contract Regulations and tendering processes
- Experience in procurement of goods, works, or services via formal tenders
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
