The Role

A well-established not-for-profit organisation is seeking a Procurement Officer to provide a compliant and efficient procurement service. The role involves managing the full tender process, ensuring all frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems (DPS), and contracts adhere to Public Contract Regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage public procurement processes, including frameworks and DPS agreements
  • Draft and publish high-quality tender documentation and notices
  • Manage the tender process through an online procurement portal
  • Evaluate supplier submissions, including complex pricing data
  • Conduct financial credit checks on contractors and suppliers
  • Provide procurement guidance to stakeholders, supporting mini-competitions and contract awards
  • Keep up to date with Public Contract Regulations and best practices
About You

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive, with experience in public sector procurement. Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of Public Contract Regulations and tendering processes
  • Experience in procurement of goods, works, or services via formal tenders
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
