Our Control Room Manager plays a huge part of driving the success of the operation. Leading a team of Controllers, you will look after not only your team but our customers making sure that everything, and everyone, works perfectly together.
The success of the role is very much down to you, the Control Room Manager. Your role will ensure that performance is always at the highest of standards, hitting KPIs achieving the customer service we expect and meeting the standards we strive to achieve. It will be down to you to ensure the service runs smoothly to a high standard and ready to be handed over to the morning team the following day.
The duties you will be accountable for will be overall performance of a team of recovery breakdown controllers, increasing customer service, and driving efficiencies. We will expect you to set higher standards across the control room and build a positive relationship with our drivers, addressing any issues that you may come across. We are a 24-hour operation, and we need you to be motivated and ready to handle anything from covering sickness, planning shift rotations, allocating jobs and making the most out of your team, keeping everyone motivated, happy and most of all always achieving excellent customer services and really care what you do.
This role is a challenging yet very rewarding role. You will need to show us that you can build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships, keeping a cool head and always giving your top performance.
Communication is key for the role; you need to have a good working relationship with the Operations Manager who you will be reporting into and keeping them up to speed with everything in the control room.
You will have to be a quick thinker and ready to solve any problems that come your way, and will train your team to be versatile, positive and pro-active. Ensuring the workforce is always engaged and motivated.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have had over 10 years experience in a Breakdown & Recovery Control Room or similar setting as you will be responsible for managing change and looking for opportunities of continuous improvement.

It is desirable that you hold a minimum Level 3 Team Leader / Management NVQ equivalent although this is not essential. Full training will be given but previous leadership experience is necessary.
