As the Stores and Despatch Supervisor, your role will involve ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by excelling in receiving, identifying, despatching, and maintaining the quality of goods. You will measure and report on the effectiveness of stores activities and employee performance, organize and maintain inventory and storage areas, and guarantee accuracy in shipments and inventory transactions.
Your responsibilities will also include communicating job expectations, coaching employees to build a strong team, determining staffing levels, interfacing with other departments to address queries or solve problems, maintaining item records, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance work procedures and practices. Health and safety standards will be a top priority in this role.
To excel in this position, you must possess proven experience as a Stores Supervisor, effective supervisory skills, proficiency in stores software packages and MS Office, data analysis capabilities, a hands-on approach to work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to direct and coordinate operations efficiently. Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration, are essential. A driving licence is also required for this role.
