Job Opportunity - Capital Accountant - South East England

One of my local Government clients based in the South East of England are currently on the lookout for a Capital Accountant to join their team on an interim basis.

Capital Accountant

Contract Length: Until September 2025
Location: South East England
Pay Rate: DOE
Start Date: ASAP
Hybrid working: X2 days in office per week is their preference.

You will be expected to do capital budget monitoring & setting, closing down capital accounts as we approach year end and then helping the council see through audit with capital. Alongside this the council do have an Apprentice in the team who they would expect the successful candidate to be able to assist in upskilling.

It is essential that candidates have a minimum of 2 years capital accounting experience working for local authorities in order to be considered for this position as there is very much the expectancy to be able to come in and hit the ground running.
