Your new companyOur client is an innovative and award-winning business that is looking for an experienced finance professional to become their Financial Controller. This long-established and innovative family-owned business is growing. They are looking to continue the positive development of the organisation and this position will be key to growth. Your new roleAs the Financial Controller, you will manage a team of accounting professionals and have full responsibility for the day-to-day finance functions. You will be providing commercial support across the organisation to members of the senior management team. Working closely with the FD, you and your finance team will provide timely and accurate accounting service for the wider business.

  • Day to day management of the Finance Team and their continuous development.
  • Ensuring that all month-end and year-end duties are carried out accurately and on time, including the preparation of management and financial accounts.
  • Develop and implement improved systems, controls and procedures across the department.
  • Provide commercial support to the Senior Leadership Team to support the ambitious growth plans for 2025 and beyond.
  • Responsible for daily cash management and cash flow of the business.
  • Managing VAT returns and weekly / monthly payroll functions.
  • Liaising with auditors at year-end.
  • Manage budget and forecasting processes.
  • Identify and action process improvement initiatives and opportunities across the business
  • Lead the implementation and integration of a new Finance Software Package.
