Cedar have exclusively partnered with a leading Financial Services firm in London who are looking to hire a proven part-qualified Global Payroll Accountant with global experience to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in compensation posting and be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for streamlining processes. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, enabling effective collaboration with finance, HR, and payroll teams. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a strategic mindset, capable of anticipating and addressing future challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post all global Payroll Journals (18 different countries)
  • Conduct month-end cost and variance analysis.
  • Manage month-end accruals and headcount Journals.
  • Reconcile compensation-related Balance sheet accounts.
  • Generate salary cost reports per regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee annual reconciliation of PSA, P11D, and other accruals.
  • Reconcile payroll bank account monthly.
  • Clear outstanding bank entries daily.
  • Provide FX Journals and Hedging info to Treasury.
  • Liaise with external auditors on salary-related costs.
  • Review and challenge quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with Payroll Transformation projects.

Experience:

  • Part qualified accountant
  • Extensive experience in preparing and posting compensation-related Journals.
  • Proven track record of process improvement and value addition.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with financial statements and managing audits.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
